Kate joined the firm in 2018 to expand the IT Security & Compliance practice and provide expertise in SOC Examinations, Internal Controls, Information Technology Consulting, and Information Security. “We have fantastic people and clients at ML&R, thanks to a culture that empowers the team to provide incredible client service without sacrificing flexibility. Kate’s impact on the community includes serving as Board Secretary of DivInc, chairing the Fundraising Committee for the Autoimmune Hepatitis Association, and hosting charitable events at her home.

Kate started her career in the Risk Assurance group at PwC after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin. Kate performed external audits of public companies in the manufacturing, healthcare, and technology industries based on SOX requirements. She was also responsible for SOC Examinations and Reporting for technology and financial services companies. She founded a CPA firm providing SOX Readiness, Internal Audit, and IT Compliance services to public and large private companies in Austin. Kate’s system-level expertise in IT security services includes Oracle, SAP, Workday, and NetSuite ERP systems, as well as AWS, Azure, and Google cloud platforms.
