Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a part-time and/or seasonal capacity during the Spring 2022 busy season with the potential to extend into the summer
  • A minimum of 4 years of real estate partnership tax experience at a public accounting firm (preferably a Big 4, national, regional or large local firm) with familiarity and understanding of the following concepts:
    • Tiered partnership structures
    • Target capital income/loss allocations
    • Gain/loss calculations and tax return reporting related to property sales
    • 1031 exchanges
    • 754 elections/743 basis adjustments
    • Tax return reporting related to cost segregation studies
    • Multi-state partnership tax reporting experience preferred but not required
  • CPA certification
  • Excellent organizational and project tracking skills
  • Excellent research skills and strong written and verbal communications and people skills
  • Excellent technology and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in taxation preferred
