What You’ll Be Doing

As a family office associate, you will provide financial services to ultra-high net worth clients, including bill pay, payroll administration, insurance management, cash flow planning, and financial reporting in QuickBooks. You will also assist our tax group by creating financials from investment statements and preparing 1099s and payroll reports on a quarterly basis. Communication skills are important in this position, as you will regularly communicate with our clients and client employees. This Austin-based role presents a unique opportunity for fast professional development and exposure to Austin’s most influential family offices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a full charge bookkeeper and/or office manager, including financial statement preparation or working in a family office
  • Extensive experience with QuickBooks (online and desktop versions), including payroll, accounts payable, account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Understanding of and experience with payroll tax processing and federal and state payroll return preparation (W-2, TWC, 941)
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills and present a professional image both in person and over the phone
  • Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent written communication skills including strong spelling and grammar
  • Must be organized and have the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines while working independently
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Experience managing multiple clients with varying needs and requirements
  • Ability to handle interruptions and switch from task to task
  • Familiarity with labor and OSHA laws
  • Familiarity with Worker’s Comp Audits
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Must be comfortable with and able to learn new technology
  • Familiarity with investment statement QuickBooks reporting highly preferred
  • Experience with 401(k) employee reporting preferred
  • Experience with federal 1099 tax filings preferred
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficiency in conversational Spanish preferred
