Maxwell Locke & Ritter has served government entities for many years. As one of our largest industries, we are committed to offering our governmental clients a level of experience and expertise that is unmatched in Central Texas. We assist our government clients with financial statement audits, OMB Circular A-133 audits, financial reporting to meet state requirements and prepare CAFRs when necessary. Our Government Team spends a majority of their time serving clients in the industry, with experience outlined below:

Maxwell Locke & Ritter is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Governmental Audit Quality Center. The Center is a voluntary membership center for CPA firms that perform governmental audits, including all audits and attestation engagements performed under Government Auditing Standards and OMB Circular A–133 of federal, state, or local governments; not-for-profit organizations (NPO); and certain for-profit organizations that receive federal assistance. The AICPA established the Center to help CPAs perform quality audits by providing resources and guidance to help them navigate the increased complexity of the federal rules and regulations underlying governmental auditing. As a member of the Governmental Audit Quality Center, we have made a commitment to adhere to Center membership requirements that are designed to introduce additional quality control features to our practice.
